| Labour has received a £4 million donation from a hedge fund based in the Cayman Islands with links to fossil fuels and arms sales. According to the Electoral Commission, it banked over £26 million in reportable donations in the run up to the general election, over 50% more than the Tories and – wait for it – over 100 times more than the Green Party. The figures show just how undemocratic and corrupting the current party-political funding system is. Unlike other parties, the Green Party doesn’t receive mega donations from big business and the super-rich. We won’t accept donations linked to activity that is damaging to people or planet.
