February 2025  Greener Gloucestershire In this edition… 🌎Climate change community fund – closing soon!🍽 Free cookery classes in Cirencester and Tewkesbury Climate change community fund – closing soon! The Greener Gloucestershire community climate change fund is to help Gloucestershire reduce carbon emissions and the impacts of climate change within communities. The closing date for applications is Monday 3 March at 11am. Applications submitted after this date/time will not be considered. Eligible groups don’t have to be climate experts to apply. We’re keen to hear from communities who are starting their journey to take action and protect their local environment. The fund is aimed at projects that help to tackle climate change and increase people’s awareness and knowledge of the climate emergency. Projects must: 1. Reduce carbon emissions (outlining how the action taken will reduce carbon emissions). 2. Tell other people about the project and how it has reduced carbon emissions. Please do spread the word with anyone you think might be eligible to apply. Thank you!  Free low waste cookery classes! Our adult education team are running a low waste cookery course looking at how we can reduce food waste and save money at the same time. It has been designed to provide inspiration on how to re-purpose the most frequently wasted ingredients to produce tasty food. You will learn:👉How to make delicious recipes using every day ingredients which often get wasted. 👉How to minimise wasted food. Pick up tips on how to be more sustainable at home. When?
